PLEASE REMEMBER HOW STEVE BANNON INSISTED THAT NO ONE SEND HIM LETTERS TO HIM WHILE HE’S IN JAIL, INSTEAD, GO OUT AND DO SOMETHING.

It occurred to me while reaching over for a hand-basket at the grocery store that it had been a long while since I used an actual grocery cart. Then I remembered how it’s not uncommon for me to spend $200, close to $300 every time I use a grocery cart. Then I remember purchasing a very nice leather bomber jacket back in 1986 for $350. My mother was so pissed at me when I bought that jacket. I remember when she picked it up at the department store for me and she shoved it in my face yelling, “I’ve never spent this much on any article of clothing in my life!” Now here I am spending close to that for two maybe three weeks worth of food. How did we get here?

It was then I started appreciating these grocery carts as a sort of symbolic metric that represents an individual’s economic health, meaning, for people economically crushed a grocery cart can often times become their home on wheels where they store and push around what little they own. For most of us it becomes a reminder of how financially pinched we are every time we go shopping for food. It’s gotten to the point that using a grocery cart instead of a hand-basket is a luxury, almost a status symbol.

How did we get here? Well, when an entire political movement, the Leftists, have determined that our carbon footprints are the cause for “Climate Change” then it would makes sense for them, when elected, to set into place policies that make things too expensive for us to consume, so please VOTE WISELY.
